Is it acceptable to take photos instead of rescue?

 

Not long ago, an accident happened at the Gangnam Station. The architect engineer who was repairing the platform screen door of Gangnam Station was hit and killed by the subway which was pulling into the station. It is a deplorable accident. However, it is more terrific matter that many witnesses were taking photos or shooting videos by smartphone. They did that instead of rescue! Is it acceptable to do like the above? Government should punish this horrible thing.

If the government take steps to punish an expectant attitude, it can awake many people to a danger and seriousness of apathy and looking on. Modern people always use their smartphone, so it is used to shoot something unconsciously what they see. So, maybe some of people can’t aware of how serious this reaction when accident happens. Moreover, some of them who were taking films the scene of accident just don’t want to be involved because they want to shirk responsibility. They have to know that someone could lose opportunity to save by their behavior. The measure of government aroused people not only danger of indifference but also importance of help. So, if a person who takes action for rescue appears, other observers could help together. Then, whoever faces danger may be saved from death.

Also, government punish a person who uploaded the accident photos or videos on the internet or SNS more severely. They want to receive attention from people by showing sensational thing which could be suffer to victim and their acquaintances. How inhumanity it is. If these wrongs are uncontainable, it can make people get used to these immoral things someday. as video clips of attack or outcast is easy to find. Already many people watch that videos, write an irresponsible comments and click “like” on Facebook, even share to their surrounding people.

Some people can express a doubt that is it really need to punish? Because, they didn’t join in any crime or harm to victim. It is true that they didn’t do something to kill or hurt people. But, it is obvious that they take up someone’s chance to rescued and saved. When exigency was happened, there is not a moment to lose. All people can be helpful in this situation. Government’s steps are not only for punish people but also awaken more mature sense of citizenship.

Government’s action help all citizens realize the danger of bystander and irresponsibility. Moreover, it prevent uploading a terrible accident scene to make a noise. Everybody has experience that helped by stranger. Our society is the world helping each other. My small action can be necessary help to someone.
